Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, you’ll know that Drunk Elephant finally launched in the UK.
What’s the hype with DE you ask?
DE products do not contain, what they call, the ‘Suspicious 6’. That is; silicones, drying alcohol, chemical screens, essential oils, fragrance/dyes and SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate). They pride themselves on providing products that will benefit the skin’s health.
Also, the best thing about their products is that you can mix them together to create ‘Skin Smoothies’.
When DE launched, I was hesitant about buying anything, it was (in my opinion) SUPER expensive. I decided to buy the Littles Kit as it contains 7 minis of their best selling products. It was £90, which is pricey, yes, but I’d rather pay £90 and try 7 of their products than £72 for the oil and end up not liking it. (Yes that’s my justification haha)
DE actually ended up reducing their RRP, so anyone who bought the products from Cult Beauty or Space NK received a refund, so my Littles Kit actually only cost me £71 in the end!
The Littles Kit includes:
- T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
- Beste No 9 Jelly Cleanser
- Lala Retro Whipped Cream
- B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum
- C-Firma Day Serum
- Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil
- Shaba Complex Eye Serum
The Littles Kit is a great way to try out DE before you splurge on the full sized products. They come in a handy pink pouch and are travel-friendly which means you can pop them into your hand luggage if nothing else!
I wasn’t ready to purchase the full sized products, but I did let my love known for them on Instagram, and what a great place Instagram is! A friend told me he was the photographer at their launch party and everyone was given 3 full sized products. As he wasn’t going to use them, he sent them to me – how kind! Tendai, thank you for the products, it is very much appreciated! Tendai is an absolutely awesome photographer and you should check out his Instagram @ttc_photos!
At their launch party, everyone was given a pink pouch with three products – B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum, T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum and Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil. It also came with a neon pink passport which I will be using for my holiday next week for sure!
So far, I am loving the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil mixed with T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. I tend to use this every other night as the Night Serum is quite strong – it contains a 12% AHA/BHA blend.
Have you tried any DE products? Which one is your favourite? I’d love to hear our thoughts!
